chewitt: those things are not implemented correct?

@lvrp16: indeed most of the doc is outdated
<narmstrong>
Daanct12: no, now the frequency is real and has been validated, Linux now handles the frequency scaling

Danct12 the older GXBB/GXL/GXM devices report 2.0GHz instead of the actual 1.5GHz, but G12 devices (S905X2/Y2/D2 and S922X) all report correct
<chewitt>
most S922X are moderately overclockable too, via device-tree changes

narmstrong: so those missing things are or are not implemented?
<narmstrong>
lvrp16: most are implemented, the only missing bits are HDR management between planes and HDCP

chewitt, narmstrong: ty for response, just discovered about that yesterday so i have to ask
<Daaanct12>
i was planning on doing a thermal mod for my gt-king, and i was planning on overclocking it to it's best as it could go, how far people have gone in frequency in one of these things?

haven't tested, my goal was to have it working nominally without crashing :-p
<Daanct12>
i guess that's already achieved? :) the last i heard was that the frequent crashing issue was because of linux touching memory address that it shouldn't have do
<Daanct12>
and that one was allocated to arm tf
