<Las[m]> I'm trying to build U-boot with support for the SPI on the ODROID N2, does anyone know what config options I have to enable? I figure I'd also have to find out what chip the device is using for the SPI?
<Tenkawa> Las[m]: I just found something you might need to read:
<Tenkawa> The current U-boot does not access eMMC when ODOID-N2 is started from SPI in order to read and store environment.
<Tenkawa> doesnt sound like it would help
<Tenkawa> since the env would be on the emmc
<Las[m]> Thanks for that link, it seems to me like the bandwidth to the eMMC will just be halved if the SPI is enabled
<Tenkawa> that might be why we went the syslinux/extlinux route and keot it all on the emmc
<Tenkawa> er kept
<Tenkawa> left the spi completely out of it.. also didnt bother to ues petitboot

<narmstrong> https://github.com/u-boot/u-boot/blob/9301a5cc99dd0c298e2f7fe2fa98a7287fcda772/arch/arm/dts/meson-g12b-odroid-n2.dtsi#L535 SPI could be enabled if using 4 lines instead of 8 doesn't affect the eMMC perf too much
<Las[m]> Thanks
