I just pull the mainline kernel and build that, works reasonably well now.

You'd have to ask HARDKERNEL for that, but I don't think you should expect anything of the sort, since even if they were, they likely would be unable to under the current situation.

AFAIK amlogic doesn't plan to sell the S905X4 for SBCs, but only for Android and Digital TV high volumes products

narmstrong: I'd like a brief status of VP9 10bit decode (S922X), did I understood right that 10bit decode is always in AmlogicFBC and that isn't mapped in V4L2 yet ?

ndufresne: yes 10bit is only in FBC but with the current driver, 10bit decoding will work but will output in 8bit nv12
