<chris42> Hi there, getting an issue with a sshfs connection after upgrading to LE 11: libfuse3.so.3 is not found when the connection attempt is being done
<chris42> should be part of the network-tools addon?
<chris42> Weird thing, that it is in the addon folder in .kodi
<chris42> however sshfs seems to feel it is missing
<oblikoamorale> have you tried turning it off and on ... ahem, I mean, uninstalling and reinstalling the addon?
<chris42> not yet, but that is worth trying
<chris42> Nope, no change
<oblikoamorale> https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/pull/6720 may be related. you're not running a x86 build, are you?
<chris42> running on Raspi4 so arm
<chris42> so /usr/lib is not having any links or the library
<oblikoamorale> hang out for a while, or better yet create a thread on the forum
<chris42> so maybe something in the install is broken

<amalon> Hi, I just tried updating my libreelec 9.something to latest 11 on wetek hub with microSD card. On linux so no sd creator app. I gunzip'd the image, dd'd it to the SD device, used gparted to resize STORAGE partition, and rsync'd across to STORAGE from my backup. When I try and boot however it goes straight into the weos thing on nand, without saying "press power button to boot from SD card" on the boot splash like I think it used to. Any ideas
<amalon> whether I'm missing something that the sd creator does?
<amalon> if I rename KERNEL[.md5] to kernel.img[.md5] like the old one, it now shows message about pressing power to boot from internal nand or whatever. is my bootloader out of date or something?
<amalon> (but it doesn't boot, just stays on splash)

<colo> amalon: does it also not boot if you do not touch the result of the image you just wrote to the sd card?
<amalon> if i don't touch the LIBREELEC partition, it doesn't seem to detect it, and boots from emmc/nand/whatever instead

<amalon> looks like it might be working if i rename dtb to match old filename. i've reduced resolution down from 4k to 1080p on old version, and noe have migration screen

<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> The short answer is .. read the release notes (that tell you to read the wiki)
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> The boot process for AMLGX is deliberately different to stop people from updating and causing more problems than I care to troubleshoot
<LEBot> [slack] <chewitt> This requires people to READ the boot instructions tho

<shibboleth> i've noticed that kodi since/including 19/matrix is becoming compatible with fewer and fewer historical releases. at first i thought it had something to do with the video files themselves but it turns out to be subtitles-related
<shibboleth> <shibboleth> look at "star wars attack of the clones"-amiable, playback fails to start if "official" idx/sub are present
<shibboleth> <shibboleth> same with "independence day resurgence"-geckos
<shibboleth> <shibboleth> same with "deadpool 2"-sparks
<shibboleth> <shibboleth> move/hide idx/sub, convert to .srt and there's no problem.
<shibboleth> <shibboleth> ofc, i'm asking on behalf of SWIM and I myself own the blurays :)
