enebo: what's our position on 9.2 at this point?
15:44
<
headius >
I think we basically consider it EOL but the question came up in this psych CVE thing
15:46
<
headius >
Psych can be updated independently so I don't feel like there's pressing need to do a security release
15:46
<
enebo[m] >
yeah that is a good point
15:46
<
headius >
We should announce something though so people know
15:49
<
enebo[m] >
yeah I guess so. We could do it now or point it out when we put out next 9.3 as a gesture that people need to update
15:49
<
enebo[m] >
or now and say let us know what is not working for updating to 9.3?
15:50
<
headius >
Yeah might as well. We don't get 9.2 issues as often these days but they do still come in

psych 3.3.3 is out with the updated snakeyaml...so we can update 9.3 and make an announcement

enebo: that fixes the issue I found in thread termination... I did it as a PR to make sure something unexpected doesn't break now that we will be consistently terminating all threads
20:20
<

timeout itself should still try to clean up the rogue thread but this will get master green once it merges forward
20:49
<

enebo: I tweeted this about the psych CVE... will send something to mailing list as well
21:11
<

thread shutdown change was green on 9.3 so I merged it there and merged 9.3 forward to master... should look a bit greener once it settles
