Nice I'm in the same boat, I work in gas detection and yeah we have some ancient stuff, but it still works rock solid and explosion proof, longevity seems to be the name of the game. I thought the Glasgow would be useful with some of this old stuff, and just not having to have so many wires everywhere but yeah a virtual com port would be helpful, and some rs485. I went a little left with a bonus and bought some gadgets to play with,
