<mcepl> I really like Ctrl-Shift-N functionality to open additional terminal when I am middle of something. However, I use MicroOS, so I do all my work inside of distrobox. Is it possible to run automatically distrobox enter command on using that new foot window?
<vyivel> mcepl: shell=distrobox in [main] in foot.ini?
<mcepl> hmm, I probably don't want to enter the same distrobox on every running of foot
<mcepl> only running a special script (from the old window environment and $CONTAINER_ID) with Ctrl-Shift-N.
<j`ey> sounds pretty complex to somehow get the container_id of whats running in the terminal window
<mcepl> just a shell script …
<j`ey> but how do you get $CONTAINER_ID?
<mcepl> When you run distrobox (https://github.com/89luca89/distrobox) it runs a podman (or docker) container and opens shell inside of it (that's the whole point of distrobox). The result is isolated defined environment.
<mcepl> and you can install packages inside of it, although the host system is read-only
<mcepl> that's the whole point of MicroOS (or Fedora Silberblue)
<mcepl> CONTAINER_ID is defined inside of every Podman container

<baltazar> it would be cool if you could add custom handling for non-localhost uris passed to osc-7

<potato3431> Hello, how do I enable kitty's keyboard protocol support?
<j`ey> mcepl: the problem is that script will be run outside of the container, so Im not sure how CONTAINER_ID would be set
<mcepl> that's the reason why I need some cooperation from foot.
<j`ey> that's the complicated part I mentioned!
<j`ey> I think some other terminals try to figure out what process is running, to change the UI if it's ssh-ing

<potato3431> I figured out the issue I was having, turns out TMUX does not support kitty's keyboard protocol
