hi, I'm trying to set up solarized light in foot + vim but it refuses to behave. I'm using the solarized light theme in the foot repo, which exactly matches the official xresources light theme, and using the official vim colour scheme, and yet the light theme in vim is the dark theme and the dark theme is an unreadable mess with a red background. does anyone have any idea what's going on?
<crabctrl>
if I use the solarized *dark* theme in foot then the vim theme works fine. but that's obviously not what I want
<crabctrl>
well I solved part of the mystery. the reason the dark theme in vim was unreadable and red is because the light theme in the foot repo is wrong. but I don't blame the person who wrote it, because it was clearly copied from the official xresources file, and the official xresources file has a typo
<crabctrl>
in the official xresources file the colours are all in sequence EXCEPT for color9 and color8 for some reason. so it goes 6, 7, 9, 8, 10, 11...
<crabctrl>
like me, whoever wrote the theme in the foot repo did not notice that and accidentally made color8 orange
<crabctrl>
with that fixed the vim theme *sort of* works, it's just that it's still backwards, the light theme is dark and the dark theme is light. but as far as I can tell that's the fault of the vim theme and has nothing to do with foot
