<mx08> The archlinux package for foot 1.12.1 does not yet contain the config file under /etc in the backup array. Anyone in here that I can ping about this?
<dnkl> mx08: are you sure? The package list shows it under /etc
<mx08> dnkl: I mean the bash array called 'backup' inside the PKGBUILD, which is used to identify the file as a config file by pacman and therefor not overwrite it during system upgrades.
<mx08> (currently there is no backup array present in the PKGBUILD)
<mx08> sorry, I should have phrased that better...
<dnkl> I would try contacting the package maintainer: https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/foot/
<mx08> Did that already, no response yet, but I should probably just be more patient :)
<mx08> I just wait a bit, sorry for the noise.
<dnkl> sterni: we're currently pulling the path in its entirety from the systemduserunitdir variable. If we provide an override, it would replace that path completely. Is that what you're looking for?
<dnkl> beerman: noted. thanks
<beerman> dnkl: no problem :)
<beerman> btw, would you recommend Maintainer to activate nanosvg?
<dnkl> yeah, I'd say so (that's why it's enabled by default in meson)
<dnkl> nanosvg is small enough I think, that there shouldn't be a need to leave it out, unless going fora very minimalistic setup
<beerman> it is? oops, I didn't notice that :D I just went to look yesterday to create an overlay port and see if I like it enabled or not.. well then :) guess I can delete that overlay later
<novakane> it enabled by default? hmm it is always disabled when I build foot or fcft
<dnkl> it's enabled if you have freetype >= 2.12. Might also be disabled if you're re-using a pre-existing build directory
<beerman> --wrap-mode nodownload I need to check if this line plays into that or not
<novakane> ah freetype 2.10 on void I see

<sterni> dnkl: yes; the systemduserunitdirs path points to a path in the systemd store path in nixpkgs which is read only (since we give each package a separate prefix)
<sterni> so the units would be symlinked into the proper system or user profile from the foot prefix
