<mk2000>
yeah
<mk2000>
as usual
<mk2000>
gonna boot into another dist, ttyl thanks :)
<mk2000>
im also having issues with LS_COLORS
<sochotnicky>
mk2000: probably want to add foot into /etc/DIR_COLORS

<pranjal>
why is a combo with both explicit modifier and shifted symbol not allowed?
<pranjal>
for example, Shift+Control+F is replaced with Shift+Control+f

dnkl: hiya! we're talking about fbcon in #dri-devel again, and i was wondering: what would it take to add a KMS backend to foot?
<emersion>
i suppose all of the WSI stuff is mixed up atm and such work wouldn't be upstreamable
<dnkl>
emersion: I suspect there would be refactoring to abstract input handling and rendering
<emersion>
yea
<emersion>
i'm just throwing ideas around atm
<emersion>
i just figured i didn't want to write a new terminal emulator impl
<dnkl>
Terminal state is fairly/mostly decoupled from the Wayland state already
<emersion>
and there's already a good one sitting here, which doesn't need any fancy GPU to work well
<dnkl>
To summarize, I think it would be fairly easy, given the prerequisites; foot's currently only has a single backend
<emersion>
maybe i'll hack around and see then
<dnkl>
Good luck :)
<emersion>
thx!
<lechner>
making inroads everywhere!
<dnkl>
I'm in #dri-devel now, if you have any questions
<lechner>
plus, customer support is legendary! only my eyeglasses trump my love for foot
<dnkl>
"customer support" :D
<dnkl>
And now I'm in the _right_ #dri-devel!(?)

Hi, i don't have the greatest vision. Is there a way to make jump labels bigger? Thanks!

<dnkl>
lechner: the jump labels uses your primary font, so you could increase that... But no, there's no way to make the jump labels bigger than the rest of the text
<lechner>
dnkl: no worries, maybe i should use a different color combo
<lechner>
and thanks again for foot!
<dnkl>
lechner: I've been playing around with custom, high contrast colors for the jump labels, to make them "stand out" more.
<dnkl>
Worked pretty well, but was ugly 😅
<dnkl>
Currently back on default colors though
<lechner>
yeah, i had an issue with gaudiness on another project. it's hard to come up with elegant signals. something connects "in your face" with "ugly" in our brains
<lechner>
Wow, you have been busy "Your branch is behind 'upstream/master' by 1348 commits"
<dnkl>
:)
<dnkl>
That does sound a lot... Which version is that?
<lechner>
well, it's gone now but i think we were working on consume-modifiers-for-key-bindings input-try-filtering-out-consumed-mods and match-all-required-modifiers-before-unshifting-symbol
<dnkl>
Ah... Looong time ago :D
