<somlo> davidlt[m]: is https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/RISC-V/Installing (still) the current procedure? And are the images at https://dl/fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/risc-v/repo/virt-builder-images/images/ still "fresh"? (the latest is from January of 2020, so if feels a bit old)...
<somlo> is there a better place to start with building a current qemu fedora rv64gc vm, after having last done it in the F-30-ish "era" ? :)
<davidlt[m]> That page is stale, there are new incoming, but only testing version is available for SiFive Unmatched
<davidlt[m]> Note it still wound run QEMU too
<davidlt[m]> After that it's F33 -> F36, big jump
<somlo> I got opensbi working on LiteX and want to take another stab at getting fedora to boot on it, properly :) But first I want to get it going in qemu, to have a working "reference"...
<davidlt[m]> Uh, will that land in upstream OpenSBI?
<somlo> it just did: https://github.com/riscv-software-src/opensbi/commits/master (all it needed was UART support, otherwise it works fine with the generic platform)
<davidlt[m]> oh, I will incl. that in the future builds
<somlo> awesome, thanks!
<davidlt[m]> Is Linux stuff uptreamed too?
<davidlt[m]> and U-Boot?
<somlo> some of the linux stuff is upstream, but not everything. There's a "litex-rebase" branch with the as-of-yet out-of-tree patches: https://github.com/litex-hub/linux/compare/litex-rebase
<somlo> for Rocket (rv64gc), one would need the LiteSDCard driver, but not much else
<somlo> haven't touched anything U-Boot related yet, you just made ma aware of its existence :)
masami has quit [Quit: Leaving]
<somlo> and everything *after* the "defconfig for linux-on-litex-rocket" is only there for the 32-bit (vexriscv-based) version, so not relevant for Fedora
somlo has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<davidlt[m]> I see a bunch of CONFIG_*
