"Can" is not the right word. The procedure above does not keep /etc. I'm not sure we support keeping /etc.

Adam was scheduled to perform the FCOS releases this week, but he's on PTO. I'll take care of it instead and pull someone from the ad-hoc rotation to do it next cycle. I think you're up next travier : https://hackmd.io/WCA8XqAoRvafnja01JG_YA
<travier[m]>
marmijo: Thanks, works for me. I'll not be on PTO on the week of July 24th
<marmijo[m]>
Great news lol. Thanks!

marmijo[m]: ok I got the archive repo manager running again - it's chewing through the updates now
<dustymabe>
marmijo[m]: i'll restart the CI on the stable PR in a bit
<dustymabe>
do you want to go ahead and start the testing and next builds?
<marmijo[m]>
Great, thanks! Yeah I can start those. I was just in the process of removing the ok-to-promote label on stable
<dustymabe>
the stable promotion is actually good. it's just the tests are failing because of a remote server problem
<dustymabe>
the "remote server" just happens to be one that we control :)
<marmijo[m]>
I just thought that removing and adding the label would restart CI
<marmijo[m]>
but I seem to remember that didnt work last cycle
<dustymabe>
we can just restart CI in jenkins
<dustymabe>
last cycle was a bit of a special case because the promotion updated the CI definition
<dustymabe>
and that wasn't "trusted" because the PR was from a bot (not one of us)
<marmijo[m]>
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info.
<dustymabe>
i'm going to step away from here for a bit - catch you later
<marmijo[m]>
I started the testing and next build jobs and linked them in the issues. I'll monitor them throughout the night, as well as stable when that PR merges. Have a good one!
