<jlebon> jmarrero: happy to see a good outcome on the proxy ticket. thanks for working with the maintainer on that!
<jmarrero> jlebon: thanks, he found it pretty fast :) about to test the koji build.
<jlebon> +1
<dustymabe> i'll put in some fast-track PRs for the bodhi update

<dustymabe> travier[m] - you're next in the ad-hoc release rotation, are you able to run the release to get out a new testing with the recent fixes?
<dustymabe> I know it's starting to get late in your day already. so we could see if the next person in the list could run it

<dustymabe> pwhalen: pbrobinson: FYI: problem in f38 libcurl causes updates from behind proxies to stop working https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1477
<dustymabe> fix is in https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-eec1379708 - but you may have systems out there that upgraded to f38 that now can't update any more
<dustymabe> jmarrero: can we add a test for this to our kola tests?
<dustymabe> we could probably simulate a proxy setup within the test itself with tinyproxy in a container
<dustymabe> here's what I use sometimes
<jmarrero> dustymabe: yeah I'll create an issue and assign it to myself.
<dustymabe> or maybe there is just a publicly available proxy somewhere we could configure and use
<dustymabe> not sure
<jmarrero> I was using squid with podman too, but tinyproxy probably is tiny ;) anyway here is the issue I created: https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-config/issues/2392
<dustymabe> thanks jmarrero
<travier[m]> dustymabe: I won't be able to do releases today
<travier[m]> sorry
<dustymabe> no worries travier[m]
<dustymabe> ravanelli: you're next in the list - any chance you can run a build today? bgilbert is after you. If not I can run it.
<pwhalen> thx dustymabe
<pbrobinson> dustymabe: thanks for the heads up
<marmijo[m]> o/ Could I please get a review on https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-config/pull/2395? It's to pin linux-firmware to get rawhide builds working again.
<dustymabe> stamped
<marmijo[m]> Thanks dustymabe

<jlebon> jmarrero: let me know if you want some help with https://github.com/coreos/rpm-ostree/pull/4371. i can push something if you'd like

<jmarrero> jlebon: Thanks, I see your response. If I can rip out F37 and F36 it should just work then. It works in my F38 box
<jlebon> jmarrero: +1
<jmarrero> jlebon: this is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Any idea if this is anything we need to update? https://github.com/coreos/rpm-ostree/actions/runs/4767881638/jobs/8476798337?pr=4371 I tried updating the test to use F38 too but same result.
<jlebon> jmarrero: hmm, looks like a recent comps sync updated those (https://pagure.io/workstation-ostree-config/c/7c5245aafe69a2f24572e19e7fd81be713f74af6?branch=f38), but it works with pkgs that aren't yet in the stable repos? in this case, https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-1cf0937309.
<jlebon> jmarrero: maybe simplest is a temporary hack like this after the clone, but before the `rpm-ostree compose image`: sed -i -E '/- .*-firmware/d' fedora-common-ostree-pkgs.yaml
<jlebon> another approach is a `git revert` of that commit. that'll start failing once that update hits stable, and then we can drop that `git revert`
<jmarrero> I like that git revert. I will do that.
<jmarrero> hopefully the 20th time is the charm.
<jlebon> jmarrero: pushed a tweak i noticed to try to avoid another CI trip :)
<jmarrero> jlebon: thanks for the save
