<jaeger> Does the latest poppler update break inkscape again?
<jaeger> Seems like those 2 are always a pain
<beerman> haven't updated yet but will give it a try
<beerman> can confirm the breaking for inkscape
<beerman> and its not building anymore.. man, that software
<jaeger> Yeah, it breaks with nearly every update, I feel
V10 has joined #crux-devel
jue has joined #crux-devel
<farkuhar> I'll try rebuilding inkscape with previous version of poppler. If it works, maybe that version could be imported as a standalone inkscape dependency.
<jue> jaeger: thanks for the gnuplot report, signature is updated now
<jue> wrt inkscape, if they still use the 'internal' library and not one of the officials interfaces the pain will continue. I don't get it why they don't use the cpp or glib interface
<jue> event cups-filters had sorted that out some times ago
<jue> s/event/even/
<beerman> I feel like I heard that before and just didn't say it early, they do use the private interfaces directly :D
<beerman> farkuhar iirc danny built a static poppler version in the inkscpace port directly, but maybe a standalone fixed version would be better
<jue> maybe a bug-report at inkscape could help :)
<jaeger> jue: no problem :)
V10 has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<farkuhar> jaeger: I got a successful build of inkscape with the previous poppler, so I packaged that version as a standalone dependency. Let me know if you run into any problems.
<jaeger> I'll give it a look, sure... though I assume inkscape will get fixed at some point, probably
