Hrmm... still can't start a plasma session on wayland but the x11 version does work
<beerman>
jaeger: that rust push was not needed, those files are generated with a random hash, thats why the maintainer-clean-footprint script is in the port
<beerman>
cheers
<pitillo>
thanks farkuhar and jaeger
<farkuhar>
stenur raised the issue, here and on github, that building libarchive with cmake breaks the support for threading. Meanwhile pitillo discovered that building libarchive without cmake puts "Requires.private: iconv" in libarchive.pc, which breaks subsequent builds: https://github.com/libarchive/libarchive/issues/1819
<farkuhar>
with or without cmake, something in the libarchive package ends up broken.

"I try to convince people in CRUX Linux to switch back to autotools, but you may know the arses." how nice steffen is able to articulate himself about CRUX staff 🙂

requires editing /usr/bin/pkgmk by hand anyway, what a tool

Good day. Just for info - sed 's|5.40.8|5.40.9|' -i Makefile fixes pkgutils version.
sajcho has quit [Client Quit]
<jaeger>
beerman: rust built 4 more times after that with the same footprint in my container, for what that's worth
<jaeger>
I didn't recall the weird script there, sorry. I'll leave it alone from now on
<jaeger>
Do you want me to revert the change?
<beerman>
maybe its not needed anymore, dunno, but no need to revert, i already did that
<beerman>
what sajcho posted could use a proper fix though
<beerman>
already powered off the server for today
<beerman>

<beerman>
ports like gtk4 will fail without it
