jaeger: builds for me, gtk-doc is also in the meson_options.txt and sadly is enabled by default. What error are you seeing exactly?
<beerman>
I just pushed a quick clean up of upower, removed old files, moved libexecdir and always disables gtk-doc. When I say it builds it means it builds inside a clean lxc container. As for all the commits I do.
<farkuhar>
beerman: thanks for the cleanup of upower. Does your lxc container happen to have gtk-doc installed anyway? That's how ppetrov^ was able to build it without errors. Meanwhile SiFuh encountered something like this: https://pastebin.com/jTV028pG
<beerman>
It so happens that it does not
<beerman>
it runs pkgclean before installing a port, depinst with --ignore=$(basename $(pwd)), then revdeps and rebuilds anything that gets reported, then depinst $(basename $(pwd))
<farkuhar>
Just to be clear, your lxc container is CRUX 3.6, not 3.7?
<beerman>
...
<beerman>
i have both containers
<beerman>
and i build 3.6 first, merge into 3.7 after that ;)
<jaeger>
I'll test again after work if I can, this was also in a clean container and a live host

since i am just on my notebook.. so i3status-rust uses pm-utils to display my battery status. however, I use poweralertd to have a notification which depends on upower and that works as well. upower -m actually shows accurate states of my charger etc, so I see nothing wrong with the port itself either.
<beerman>
and yes, this laptop actually still runs 3.6
