P.S.: it would be *tremendous* if after so much time the CRUX default for rotatelog would be changed to make use of sysklogd

And now that i again have a github account i opened an issue there with the same patch i sent two years and one day ago, and hopefully he commits it via the "regular pull request". And then you could say "notify /root/bin/syslog-notify.sh" to get rotate notifications, or simply "pkill -SIGUSR2 syslogd" to cause immediate rotation for all files for which rotation is configured.
