<pitillo>
I've checked and libdrm is built with exynos support...
<pitillo>
and it seems to be detected (from the last paste) by sway -d but probably not supported and no way to use it in a standard (low performance) way
<beerman>
mh
<pitillo>
mh means that you are thinking or something else? xD
<beerman>
at least i'm imitating thinking :D not sure if there is any output yet
<beerman>
also googling
<pitillo>
that's fine (I didn't know if it was an acronym xD)
<pitillo>
here too... and not many clues really
<beerman>
ah, lol, i guess thats a german thing after all
<beerman>
you can confirm that everything is built in order with wayland support?
<pitillo>
nop
<beerman>
there is a few ports that can be questioned. besides libdrm, mesa, libinput..
<pitillo>
understood
<beerman>
but the drm error hints very strongly towards mesa and the likes
<pitillo>
I'll rebuild those after wayland is installed
<beerman>
wayland-protocols please
<pitillo>
I think it's directly related to DRM support and exynos over wayland.... but I'm speaking without knowledge, just a feeling
<beerman>
but sway is installed so that should be taken care of
<pitillo>
ok, wayland protocals is installed
<beerman>
dunno, there is a blog post from igalia/colabora about it running wayland from 2015
<pitillo>
nop, mali is used in other devices (cubieboards for example... but there are a lot more using mali A20-A40-H20....)
<beerman>
ah, gotcha 👍️
<pitillo>
oka, I'm currently rebuilding libdrm, mesa and libinput but I can see a bunch more on that list
<beerman>
yeah, and make sure to install basu as a compat layer for dbus
<pitillo>
it's installed too
<beerman>
perfect :)
<beerman>
well hopefully its just that and not missing support
<pitillo>
I hope so.... I haven't X support on the chromebook... if I want it I need to move back to the 3.3 (or 3.6) SD card....
<beerman>
yeah, ok
<beerman>
we will see :)
<beerman>
libdrm, mesa and libinput sounds like a start.
<beerman>
thats a samsung chromebook?
<pitillo>
yeah
<pitillo>
mesa will take some time to build.... coffee and patience xD
<pitillo>
at least not 20 days xDDD
<beerman>
xD
<pitillo>
do you know how to check uSD card health (read/write cycles, real size...) in linux? I remember there were a utility on windows to show that information (crystaldisk)
<beerman>
not sure, can smarttools do it?
<pitillo>
I don't remember so well about it... I'll check
<pitillo>
yes, it does
<pitillo>
thanks beerman !
<beerman>
np :)
<pitillo>
not sure if it's possible to use it with uSD cards
<beerman>
me neither tbh
<pitillo>
can't be used (neither crystaldisk) with SD cards as they haven't SMART capabilities.... so smarttools the same
