<mnkydeth> I've never tried Crux on an arm device before. But I do have several Raspberry pi devices. Is there any documentation for getting the crux-arm installed onto a device?
<jaeger> Not much, I think... for example https://crux-arm.nu/SupportedDevices/Raspberrypi3
<jaeger> It's there but minimal
<jaeger> For comparison, when I was testing 64bit on the pi4, I did this: https://crux.ninja/tmp/rpi-newinstall.txt
<mnkydeth> ok, wow ... I'll need more time before I delve into that. I do have the pi4, CM4, zero w and zero 2 w. A very nice minimal command line crux would be great on them I'm sure.
<jaeger> It looks more complicated than it is and includes cross-compiling your own kernel. If you started with the upstream raspberry pi kernel that would save some effort
<jaeger> Speaking from experience a first-gen zero w is painful to run source-based distros. :) the others should be fine.
<mnkydeth> Honestly everything sucks on the zero w. The zero 2 w is soooo much better.
<mnkydeth> I've relegated my zero w's that I have as usb sticks in my PS1, Saturn and Dreamcast connected to a Terraonion mode that connects to my server that has a 5TB exFAT partition that has all the games for those consoles on it. :)
<mnkydeth> wirelessly
<jaeger> nice :)
<jaeger> My remaining zero w controls my garage door, heh
