<muks> p12tic: will do. my use case is that i want to set a property that a reporter looks for. the value of the property derives from a change's property.
<muks> (all this is a local hack to workaround many of the gerrit change source issues. we use a GitPoller instead, but want to report status back to gerrit using GerritStatusPush)
<muks> i saw some recent commits in buildbot that you made to fix gerrit issues
<muks> but for the near future i want to keep this going with GitPoller as it just behaves more deterministically
<muks> p12tic: i also tried asking in #twisted about https://github.com/buildbot/buildbot/issues/5943 (unable to send email using the mail reporter) but nobody clued-in has hooked into it yet
<muks> that seems to be a bug in twisted's line reader or how it's used by SMTPClient
