<Hamid> thank you
<Hamid> more then 6 hours without any questions or answers
<Hamid> I am starting to think that this might me the wrong place to seek help with anything
<Hamid> i am anable to figure out why my BB-AI is is not finding any of the update packages
<Hamid> i keep getting : Couldn't find any package by glob 'bbb.io-xfce4-desktop'
<Hamid> also: Couldn't find any package by glob 'bbb.io-xfce4-desktop'
<zmatt> Hamid: it can be quiet here yeah, depends on who happens to be around and also whether or not they have anything useful to say to a particular problem
<zmatt> did you run sudo apt update first? (to download the package lists)
<Hamid> thank you for the response, I did run "sudo apt updates" with no issues but when i try to go through the instruction listed in this link: https://beagleboard.org/update-ai64 nothing works
<Hamid> sorry, i actually have 3 boards,  got them about a year ago for a pet project, and I got confused a bit, the one i am having problems with is just getting updated now  =D

<Hamid> the info provided in the link http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack_Debian#Flashing_eMMC is confusing
<Hamid> I have a BB-ai64 to flash it, the instructions endup sending me to the link above that is related to BB-Black
<Hamid> is is telling to edit this file : /boot/uEnv.txt but i don't have it and my folder structure is different
<Hamid> alternatively it say that a could edit /opt/scripts/ and that i don't have either
<Hamid> why is it that there is no page that is dedicated to each board ?
<Hamid> why is the information provided scrambled ?
<Hamid> "If using BeagleBone Black, BeagleBone Blue, BeagleBone AI, BeagleBone AI-64, BeaglePlay or other board with on-board eMMC flash and you desire to write the image to your on-board eMMC, you’ll need to follow the instructions at http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:BeagleBoneBlack_Debian#Flashing_eMMC. When the flashing is complete, all 4 USRx LEDs will
<Hamid> be steady off and possibly power down the board upon completion. This can take up to 45 minutes. Power-down your board, remove the SD card and apply power again to finish."
<Hamid> The information in the provided link is not relevant to BB_ai64 is there a page that covers BB-ai64?
<Hamid> oh.. and I have been here for more then 12 hours so I demonstrated a lot of patience

<outrageous> Hamid: I am not sure I ever wrote an image from SSD to eMMC, but I suspect it is done in a similar way.
<outrageous> hamid: Here is something written by RCN a year ago, so it should be pretty solid. https://forum.beagleboard.org/t/ai-64-how-to-flash-emmc/32384
<Hamid> outrageous, Thank you so much .. I will check out the link you provided now
<outrageous> Hamid: Very welcome. I hope it works as expected.

<Hamid> I could not update my BB-ai32 so i decided to flash it, and no i get nothing... :)
<Hamid> Gave up waiting for root file system device. Common problems:- Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline)  - Check rootelay= (did the system wait long enough)-Missing modules (cat /proc/modules: ls /dv)ALERT! /dev/mmcblk1p2 oes not exist. Dropping to shell!
