how does one enable CONFIG_PROVE_RCU as mentioned in Documentation/RCU/lockdep.rst ? there's no Kconfig prompt, doesn't seem to be selected by any other symbol...
<cambrian_invader>
I think it defaults to whatever PROVE_LOCKING is?
<cambrian_invader>
so you have to either have a defconfig where PROVE_LOCKING is enabled, or select PROVE_LOCKING for the first time
<headless>
ack
<rfs613>
hmm okay, it seemed that PROVE_LOCKING enables some other things, but let me look at that again
<cambrian_invader>
I think given that PROVE_RCU doesn't have a prompt, it should probably be selected by PROVE_LOCKING
<rfs613>
yep, you gents are right, they seem to be coupled - thanks!
