I mixed up the dates there. I was planning to go through all known unused drivers and remove them after the board is gone since that has half the platform_data definitions of all of arch/arm/, but I should probably do that just for the ones that are already unused now

linusw__: do you know if anyone is still looking at DT conversion for other platforms? I was hoping to see some more work get done for at least omap1 and orion5x, have not seen any patches for those. I think there was also some interest in attempting more conversion of pxa, sa1100 and footbridge, but I never really expected those to happen

OMAP1 has active users so I think it's sad that they don't get around to fix it up. I have prepared the ground for all the GPIO so drivers will mostly work outofthebox wrt that.

What I heard is that people are a bit intimidated by the work of device tree bindings since we raised the bar with schema.

Stale maintainer entries are a bit of problem, because they hide information whether subsystem needs help, has a bus-factor or is even orphaned.

Plus, we want new fresh blood of maintainers, but potential candidates might see that it's crowded there so why proposing their candidacy for maintainership of subsystem?
