i guess we'll be adding a M2 Air to kernelci now
<_jannau_>
that's not yet useful with the upstream kernel. no dts and and I doubt we will submit it before the iommu is sorted out
<_jannau_>
are there already laptops used for kernelci?

<sven>
more pressure for us to upstream things I guess :-)

ardb: Not super easy to automate without a serial console. Besides, we've got some new guy doing manual testing.
<maz>
serial console can be easily provided -- I'm learning Kicad at the moment, for that exact purpose.
<broonie>
wv :)

ohh… nice!
<sven>
i could certainly use a small board that exposes the serial console and allows be to reboot these machines
<maz>
I figured that there would be people interested. current plan involves a RPi 2040 (totally overkill but available), the infamous FUSB302, and a small USB hub to expose serial, control interface and DUT USB.
<maz>
No ETA though (literally started last week).
<sven>
still sounds great. I’m pretty sure I’ll still need it whenever it’s ready

<rfs613>
maz: there's a RP 2040 board from waveshare that has usb-c, if that helps...
<rfs613>
but I guess you want both host and device USB, at the same time
<maz>
rfs613: the problem is that I need to route a number of these signals to different ICs (SBU1/2 to the MCU, CC lines to the PD controller, D+/D- to a hub), and that trying to glue all these things together on a ready-made board is extremely messy (that's what I currently have).
<maz>
so just having a USB-C connector doesn't make things easier, unfortunately.

maz: right, have fun! I just got a Pico myself, haven't managed to unpack it yet...

Hello, I am trying to force a driver to not use inline function so I can see the function graph in ftrace. I can't seem to remember how I did it in the past. Does anyone recall?

noinline?

<bjdooks>
shouldn't ftrace deal with inline, or is that just the perf stuff?
