<DC-IRC> [Discord] <zaytho96> total noob. tried installing armbian for my Orange Pi Zero 3. Doesn't seem to post. I get a solid green then 2 red flashes, seems to repeat. Anyone have an idea?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <zaytho96> Was wanting headless
TheMaste1 is now known as JackFrost
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <gambl0r> @zaytho96 have you tried booting the official orangepi
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <gambl0r> Debian or Ubuntu images available on their website? Just to see if it boots anything I guess
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <gambl0r> Or see #❓first-aid if you want to know why it doesn't boot

<DC-IRC> [Discord] <.grippy> @reddeck_ For Test Automation, I've been messing around with dong sometihng similar. Most SoCs will let you change bootmode via JTAG if you can interrupt the boot process at the right time but manufacturer has to disclose the registers. If you have a known working u-boot you can do something similar where a known working U-boot can load another copy of itself and the kernel from <clipped message>
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <.grippy> whatever source so the latter 2 are your test image. There's some caveats with offsets and what not but I was doing it a while back.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <.grippy> Next month, month and a half or so I need to finish a SD-mux type board with USB3 so that you could integrate easily for the flashing part. I am curious about the GPIO automated testing though.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <.grippy> ^ These guys work with both Sigrok and Salae SW and are dirt cheap. Realistically this + some analog muxes and you can test most low speed interfaces just fine. Unless you want to do Analog you don't need a scope at tthat point.
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <.grippy> Always wanted to do a good semi-universal open test automation interface. I worked on cleaning up the TI internal one for processors and Linaro has the OneLabs stuff which is expensive, Balena has an interesting one but it's a bit too thrown together.
