<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> Is it only me or is armbian not building bc "https://github.com/150balbes/wifi/" doesnt exist anymore?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> how can I skip all patches?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> Has been fixed already I think. `git pull`
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> Yup thanks should've tried that first πŸ˜… πŸ˜…
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ Happens
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> I still don’t know how to skip the "misc" patches πŸ˜…
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <mecoblock> or is that why I need to add a blank patch to my defined kernel patch dir?
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <igorpec> misc patches are under the switch EXTRAWIFI='no'

<Hammdist> is qemu's --enable-kvm supported on orange pi 5?
<Hammdist> cpuinfo shows features: fp asimd evtstrm aes pmull sha1 sha2 crc32 atomics fphp asimdhp cpuid asimdrdm lrcpc dcpop asimddp
<Hammdist> qemu-system-arm --enable-kvm -machine virt <-- says qemu-system-arm: invalid accelerator kvm
<Hammdist> qemu-system-aarch64 --enable-kvm -machine virt -cpu host <-- this seems to get farther but it can't find some romfile

laz0r_ is now known as laz0r
<Hammdist> qemu-system-aarch64 --enable-kvm -machine virt -cpu host -kernel /dev/null <-- after installing the rom, it seems not to give kvm-related error. will try with a real kernel tomorrow
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> kvm support should be enabled in kernel I think
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> you can check its config via /boot/config-....
lyri has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<Hammdist> or simpler just by doing "modprobe kvm" (which works)
<Hammdist> however just having kvm module loaded does not prove virtualization will work
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <Werner> Well there is only one way to find out. rk3588 is in terms of kernel still fairly new. mainline is under heavy development and no clue how much effort rockchip put into the vendor bsp in terms of virtualization stuff
<DC-IRC> [Discord] <superkali> kvm is enabled and works, i using proxmox with armbian, i never tried on vendor kernel, i can say it works on current kernel or edge
