reason being - some of the people I know on there, who are interested in software preservation, don't really use IRC.

second reason is, honestly... I'm far more active on there.

but I'm not going to table a move as a definite thing unless the community decides that's what it wants. moderators would remain the same pending their agreement -- so that's balrog and Lord_Nightmare -- and for effectively the same reasons (bus factor mitigation).
