<fseidel> has anyone in here debugged a DOS application in DOSBox-X? I'm looking for sound SoundBlaster-related routines and want to break on I/O port access, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that
<fseidel> the actual executable decrypts itself at runtime and does a lot of funny things to make static analysis hard
<antifachad> t fseidel you bring all the interesting problems...
<fseidel> uhh, thanks, I guess :-P
<antifachad> t indexphp that's a lovely pcb!

<fseidel> cr1901: unfortunately I don't
<fseidel> Ghidra was my first choice, but this program uses single-stepping to decrypt itself as it runs, making static analysis a real PITA
<fseidel> it's a demoscene prod and I think the programmers were concerned about their effects being stolen
<fseidel> I'm just trying to figure out why it doesn't like certain models of SoundBlaster!
