<Saur[m]> hays: That is how bitbake works, everything is fetcher from repos (or tar balls). Try the commands I gave you, they should work to accomplish what you want.

<Saur[m]> You do not need to fork the repo. After you run `devtool modify`, you will have a local clone of the nnshark repo (in the `workspace/source/nnshark` directory. Make your change there and commit it to the `devtool` branch (which is checked out by default). Then run the `devtool finish` command. This will create a patch in the layer you specify and either update the recipe (if you specify the meta-imx layer) or create a bbappend (if you specify some
