Forty-Bot, commit doesn't say it wasn't necessary, just that it'll stop warning (preventing) when a non-absolute path is passed

I'd say at least once on every board bringup I get dinged by that error :P

<tlwoerner>
is setting CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE incompatible with setting any of the other CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_... ?
<tlwoerner>
i know that in practice it works having, say, CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE and CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC both enabled
<tlwoerner>
but, in theory, if any of the CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_... is defined, shouldn't CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE be off?

tlwoerner: Not if you have the board configured such that it will try MMC and if not found fail back to nowhere, but that's arguably not required since you can just go with mmc not found, default in use anyhow?

<tlwoerner>
okay, not a big deal i guess (every occurrence of NOWHERE also has a ENV_IS_IN defined)
<marex>
Forty-Bot: oh, huh, I never did run into that one
<marex>
