<_whitenotifier> [starshipraider] azonenberg pushed 1 commit to master [+0/-0/±3] https://github.com/azonenberg/starshipraider/compare/abdbaa351150...45a7756c30a7
<_whitenotifier> [starshipraider] azonenberg 45a7756 - Updated beatty line with more stitching vias
<miek> azonenberg: did you order that beatty standard board from oshpark?
<azonenberg> miek: yes. But I won't be populating v0.1
<azonenberg> I just ordered v0.2 with additional stitching vias that in retrospect i already knew were needed for this connector
<azonenberg> i've since added that to my design review checklist :p
<miek> ah! oops :)
<azonenberg> (this also affects another board that I have to fix, the tip resistor characterization one)

<azonenberg> Oh... I know there's a few folks here who have done digital design on sky130
<azonenberg> Anybody tried analog / RF design?
<azonenberg> i'm dreaming of doing active probe amplifiers on one of the open processes at some point
<azonenberg> miek: what bugs me more is that my ISI channel board has the same problem
<azonenberg> and that was somewhat pricey. but if i need to tweak that, i also have some other things to twiddle on the 55mm line and maybe replacing it with an even longer one instead
<azonenberg> miek: hey good news
<azonenberg> checking oshpark order history
<azonenberg> i dont think i ever actually ordered v0.1 of the beatty
<azonenberg> So no wasted money lol
<miek> hah, nice
<azonenberg> i thought i ordered it then ran the sim just to have a baseline to compare measurement to
<azonenberg> but it seems i actually was smart and gated the order on the sim
<miek> i'll probably wait till you try out yours, but i'm down to get a copy and compare results on my TDR & VNA here
<azonenberg> also this is a new record for me in pipeline depth i think lol. six different designs at oshpark for fab *and* two more in transit from oshpark to me
<azonenberg> One of the ones coming tomorrow is the 10/100/1000baseT directional coupler tap
<azonenberg> i'm excited about that one, I want to finally see some PAM-5
<azonenberg> The other one i'm excited for is a test board with a SMPM footprint and a SMA
<azonenberg> the idea being to TDR/VNA the SMPM launch I use in my probes and see if I can tweak it at all
<azonenberg> And yeah the Beatty was intended in part as a control to test my own TDR setup more exhaustively
<azonenberg> a step of known impedance that i can validate everything against
<azonenberg> it might be a while before I can verify it, though
<azonenberg> i just ordered the new rev today
<azonenberg> and while I can VNA is when it gets in, i'm about to send out my 16 GHz scope for upgrades
<azonenberg> it's getting turned into an SDA 816Zi-A instead of a base 816Zi
<azonenberg> Not the current gen -B (yet) but it's a step towards that
