<klf> How do I change the repl language type in Dr. Racket?
<ns12> Try clicking somewhere in "Determine language from source".
<klf> refresh the above link and you'll see that it's stuck at 'rosette/safe' for some reason.
<klf> Something ain't right. https://imgur.com/a/yH56B72
<ns12> Try to press "Run".
<ns12> "Run" should then cause the language shown in the REPL to change.
<ns12> klf: Did that work?
<ns12> (Btw, what is that pretty IRC client that you are using?)
<klf> xchat
<klf> repl is changed to racket after I pressed "Run". Thanks!
<ns12> You're welcome klf.
<klf> ns12, but 'join' is undefined while 'append' works as expected.
<ns12> Well, "join" is not defined in Racket.
<klf> oh... "heresy"
<klf> Sorry about that.
<ns12> No problem.

<johnjaye> looking at the racket usage is there a way to load a file and then execute an expression?
<johnjaye> i.e. file.rkt defines foo. then something like racket -f file.rkt -e "(foo") ?
<johnjaye> i tried that and it complained foo wasn't defined

<johnjaye> i can't even get it to give me a repl after. like racket -fi "file.rkt"

<ns12> johnjaye: Try `racket -e "(begin (load "file.rkt") (foo))"` or similar.

<stagboot> is runtime error "invalid memory reference. Some debugging context lost" never supposed to be seen? or is it usually possible to write code that produces that error? not sure whether to open a bug report.

<williewillus> stagboot: probably better to report and get clarification it's not a real issue than to let it go unfixed
