do you guys have any recommendation for a book on OCaml I can read through or should I just go through the Language Manual and the exercises

Recently this book http://ocaml-book.com/ was made available for everyone online. But I never looked into it. There is also https://dev.realworldocaml.org/ but be aware that this document is oriented toward the use of some library that are not necessary the default in the community.
