<lofty> How cursed is it that I'm doing Advent of Code in nMigen so I don't forget how to use it? :P
<d1b2> <esden> @Lofty DO IT! And share what you make! 😄
<lofty> esden: https://github.com/Ravenslofty/aoc2021 <-- I got day 1 done, at least
<d1b2> <esden> NICE!
<lofty> I might need to decide where the line is for day 2 though
<lofty> e.g. Is it still HDL if I convert command strings into something friendlier?
<tpw_rules> isn't that why they invented soft CPUs
<lofty> I think writing a soft CPU to convert the string "forward" into something smaller is maybe a bit much
<tpw_rules> well presumably there will be more complicated problems in the future
<lofty> Maybe, but I think a soft CPU might be cheating a little bit; besides, FSMs are fun :P
<d1b2> <TiltMeSenpai> hmm what is a soft cpu but a fancy FSM though
<jn> a universal state machine, able to load new state machines on top
<sorear> fsm (fancy state machine)
