BrianD: Any user data that needs to persist must be defined in the userprofile_fields near line 412 in /src/moin/storage/middleware/indexing.py. A suggestion is that you try to revert that 2018-10-13 change "remove obsolete openid 2.0 support (code)" as a starting point. You will see "OPENID: ID(stored=True)," was removed there. I don't know about login action design, it was decided before my time.
