<vulpes2[m]> I'm trying to fix a bug with mainline u-boot spl on the rk3399, where spl will only be able to read the microsd card on cold boot
<vulpes2[m]> If the card is switched to any of the UHS modes that use 1v8 signaling by the kernel, it can no longer be detected and spl just gives up after 2 tries.
<vulpes2[m]> miniloader does not exhibit this issue so I think there is likely an oversight in u-boot spl somehow
<vulpes2[m]> while I can cap the signaling mode to SDHC so it doesn't switch to 1v8, I'd rather not cripple the system performance and figure out a proper solution instead
<vulpes2[m]> can anyone give me some hints and point me to the right direction?

<wens> you can delete the "sd-uhs-sdr104" property from the sd controller in your dts file
<vulpes2[m]> yeah I'm aware of that workaround, I'd rather fix the issue in u-boot if at all possible
<vulpes2[m]> I'm pretty sure it can be fixed since miniloader has no issues with cards in SDR104 mode (the card stays in SDR104 mode if you cause a kernel panic)
