<warpme___> guys: i'm trying to get 5.16 mainline working on rk3566 x96-x6 tvbox. 5.16 kernel already boots ok, but i have issue with eth phy (IP1001 chip). it is probably due wrong entries in DT which i'm developing. (i'm reusing quartz64 DT). boot log is like this: https://pastebin.com/kmVTUAZ2 My WiP DT for x96-x6 box: https://pastebin.com/vJF3H1zu May somebody help me here to move forward?

<marcodiego> anyone has any info if the rk3566 will be able to run blob-free the rk3399?
<vagrantc> do you mean *like* the rk3399 ?
<marcodiego> vagrantc, yes... typo

<stikonas> marcodiego: probably not right now
<stikonas> I don't see anything in TF-A repository
<stikonas> but maybe in the future it will be possible
<stikonas> it took some time for rk3399 too
<marcodiego> Hi stikonas! Your blog post about it was the first time I heard about it running blob-free!
<marcodiego> these days, even the VPU in rk3399 is well supported AFAIK
<marcodiego> stikonas, have you been doing anything else in the SBC space lately?
uis has quit [Quit: ZNC 1.7.5 - https://znc.in]
<stikonas> marcodiego: not much, I still have only that same board (rockpro64)
uis has joined #linux-rockchip
<stikonas> marcodiego: but I think even rockpro64 only works in normal resolutions with HDMI (I think 4K does not work blob-free)
<stikonas> and I think that's true for all rk3399 SBCs
<marcodiego> stikonas, didn't know that... the HDMI needs blobs to work correctly? I though only eDP needed it
<stikonas> I think 4k hdmi might need it... but I'm not 100% sure
<stikonas> well, it's the same blob in TF-A
<stikonas> it might be that I'm doing something else wrong, but I could only get video out at 1080p but not 4k
<marcodiego> the best supported distro for ARM sbc's right now seems to be armbian. Do you know of any easy to test blob-free distro? I'd like to try parabola... don't want to do all the work to run arch or gentoo...
<stikonas> not sure about easy to test... blob-free distros often are not easy to test. I guess parabola might work. There is also GNU Guix but it's somewhat different from other distros
