<Jack[m]> Hi, currently trying to get a Exynos3475 device working on mainline and was wondering if there is any guides, material, etc that'll help with porting exynos3475 clock driver
<krzk> Jack[m]: Hi, there are no guides, except all recent submissions and discussions how to do it/what to fix.
<krzk> Jack[m]: take an example from exynos5433 and exynos850 and read the mail threads regarding the latter
<krzk> Jack[m]: aah wait, depends what Exynos is it - numbering wrapped around and is extremely confusing
<krzk> Jack[m]: so this is the old Exynos, maybe something close to Exynos3250 or Exynos4412 (except it is A7)
<krzk> Jack[m]: still my comment stays valid - please base the work on the most recent clock drivers, so on exynos5433 and exynos850. You can take a look on 3250 and 542x but these were doing certain things in old fashion which we skip now.
<krzk> Jack[m]: there are also few other folks working on mainline drivers for newer SoCs, you can take a look at their repos: https://exynos.wiki.kernel.org/community
<Jack[m]> alright, thanks will look at exynos850 and 5433
<krzk> Jack[m]: good luck :) feel free to come with more specific questions, because for a generic guide I can recommend only "copy the newest clock driver and customize it for your chip"
