<flpm808> Hi, have anyone tested g12b panfrost on the latest mainline kernel successfully? I'm able to see the framebuffer
<flpm808> however I see blue instead of black (4.14 rc3)
<flpm808> fbset gives me fbset ioctl fbioput_vscreeninfo invalid argument, when I try to change rgba
<xdarklight> flpm808: do you observe that already with the Linux boot logos (penguins)? in that case it's probably not a panfrost problem (and may be HDMI related instead)
<xdarklight> flpm808: you may want to try https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/linux-amlogic/patch/553e127c-9839-d15b-d435-c01f18c7be48@gmail.com/ which I think we missed (narmstrong asked the author of that patch to re-send it, but it seems like that never happened)
<flpm808> it might be HDMI indeed; I don't have logo enabled in my config, but I see the initial boot messages with blue background. Will test the patch and give feedback! Thx!

<flpm808> @xdarklight: the patch did the trick! Thank you for the support!
<xdarklight> flpm808: awesome! :-) it would be great if you could reply to that mail with your: Tested-by: firstname lastname <your@email.address>
<xdarklight> narmstrong: should we try to ping the author of the patch again or is there another route to get this upstream?
