<libreAU> gday
<libreAU> looking to test alpha/beta librelec build. i downloaded https://www.dropbox.com/s/15hqdzna5ep21lh/LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-devel-20210524004323-f9d2c33.img.gz?dl=1 by SMP from https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/13738-intel-true-10bits-hevc-hdr-support/?pageNo=38 but it would not boot on my bxnuc8i5inhja4 (has radeon 540X). i have tried nightly build LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0-ni
<libreAU> ghtly-20210529-5babb79.img.gz but no love there either. Any suggestions or links to another build that may boot for x86_64 arch Please

<libreAU> ah i forgot to mention it needs to have HDR support
<libreAU> the whole point of me testing alpha builds
<libreAU> the only thing i could find on the intertubes was the build I mentioned above by user SMP containing HDR support. He's just dumped random builds on his dropbox with HDR support compiled in. Maybe I should sign up to the forums...thought i'd give irc a go first
<libreAU> old skool
<chewitt> libreAU there's two factions in the forum
<chewitt> there's a bunch who whinge about why we're still shipping Xorg based images and why why why is their shiny not supported with full HDR blah blah yet !!!!
<chewitt> and then there's people who realise how much plumbing is still needed to make that work properly...
<chewitt> the images smp has been creating are probably 'as good as it gets' .. but HDR support is still in early stages
<libreAU> cheers mate, understand how much work is required for a stable release and I've been a user of libreelec since it 'branched' from openelec, definitely not here to whinge:). Reason im looking for those images is i just got a new sony x8000g tv and want to test it with kodi whilst the wife is not occupying the tv.
<libreAU> guess i could install winblows and fire up kodi but...
<libreAU> i really cbf dildoing around and installing drivers etc. That's the good thing about libre i just image a usb stick and reboot
<libreAU> i asked on the forum and maybe smp chuck another image on dropbox but will definitely wait for a stable libreelec release to deploy permanately. main reasons include waf, cbf buying another nuc when the cpu cooks, lazy etc
