Hey folks, not sure if the proper place to ask (but since I face this problem in arm board, here it goes..): is there a way to blacklist a platform driver? Does it make sense?

I'm facing an issue and seems the only way to stop this driver from running is..to not build this driver! Platform probe happens in "alternative" path, not subject to module_blacklist nor initcall_blacklist it seems...

gpiccoli: you can deny list a platform driver with initcall_blacklist=foobar_platform_driver_init

so foobar is the module name right?

gpiccoli: foobar_platform_driver is the name of the struct platform_driver
<javierm_>
gpiccoli: if you are not sure, you can boot with "initcall_debug" in your kernel cmdline

and grep from the kernel log the proper initcall function name

but if you do that, probably also increase the default log_buf_len (i.e: log_buf_len=8M) since there will be a log of printous in the kernel log :)

I think what's happening here is that there is a generic driver calling "sub-drivers", but I can blacklist the parent, it's fine
