<tmlind> robher: looks like that musb regression is still open, any ideas?
<tmlind> robher: hmm there's a partial revert in [PATCH] partially Revert "usb: musb: Set the DT node on the child device"

<robher> tmlind: on Linus' tree or next?
torez has joined #armlinux
<tmlind> robher: linus's tree, it's been broken for a while now
<tmlind> robher: oh it's been applied to next it seems
<tmlind> robher: and in -rc2, sorry i'm a bit behind it seems
<tmlind> robher: and in v5.17, looks like i'm way behind on musb stuff :)
<robher> tmlind: FYI, in next (only), the irq resources are no longer stored in the platform dev resources for DT instantiated devices. I think musb should be fine, but maybe not.
<tmlind> robher: ok i'll test at some point

<gpiccoli> Hi folks, I'm curious about something related to EFI-stub. Is there a way to access memory used on efi-stub from within the kernel, in regular functions after start_kernel() ? I mean, not considering buddy allocator, etc...just if the memory that was allocated in efi-stub is "easily" accesible later...
<gpiccoli> Origin of the question is at #kernelnewbies, how to preserve efi_printk() in dmesg...
frieder has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<maz> gpiccoli: ardb should be able to answer that one (free ping!).
<ardb> gpiccoli: the way to do that would be to create a special memory region and copy all the output into it as it is emitted to the console
<ardb> you could then install a EFI configuration table pointing to this memory, allowing the core kernel to pick it up

<javierm> gpiccoli: a good example is how the TPM log table is copied
<gpiccoli> free ping lol
<gpiccoli> Thanks a LOT folks - great example!
<gpiccoli> so it's possible, not trivial but not so hard as well heh
<gpiccoli> maz, ardb, javierm - do you mind if I pastebin this excerpt in #kernelnewbies, OFTC ?
<gpiccoli> Great stuff, thanks again!
