<microlinux> The only problem I note at opi3b on mainline it's that one cant boot from emmc if there is an sd card inserted, doesn't matter if it has just data
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> That sounds like a boot order problem in u-boot.. couldn't that be fixed with a rebuild?
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> But if there is an sd with just data , it shouldn't interfere with the boot process...
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> It should look for uboot elsewhere
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> some u-boot's don't care... they just check for media "in the device"
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> This is mainline and I basicly never rule anything out vs vendor in any setup area (u-boot/kernel/drivers)

<tenkawa42> This is mainline and I basicly never rule anything out vs vendor in any setup area (u-boot/kernel/drivers).... until tested.
<DC-IRC>
<amazingfate> opi3b is using u-boot from xunlong. Maybe there is a bug with SD card bootable detection.
<DC-IRC>
<mariob> have you checked where it gets stuck?

Hello, a bit offtopic (but still related to rockchip) I seek people wanting to test crypto on rk3568 (need to compile a kernel and test it)
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> Do we use the same uboot here at armbian on mainline?
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> Compared to legacy, I meab

<lanefu> Varies by SBC.
<DC-IRC>
<microlinux> Sure, but I mean if we use the same uboot for both legacy and mainline on opi3b
<DC-IRC>
<lanefu> Probably same for opi3b since it's so new. Probably vendor uboot on both
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Yeah highly highly unlikely thats in mainline yet

<harbin1> Hi, I'm dealing with an issue with the reliablity of WiFi. On my computer (an Orange Pi 800), Wifi connects but does not stay connected. To be honest, I'm not sure I'm "doing it right" -- I have installed Armbian for Orange Pi 4 / LTS, which seems to be the closest to the 800, but there is no exactly distro for the 800. I am aware there was an alpha-state one but don't know wh <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
<harbin1> at happened to that. Also, when Wifi disconnects, it won't successfully reconnect until the computer is shut down and restarted. How can I approach debugging this?

<infinity_q> is it an Intel chip? I have the same issue on my opi5
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> No its a RK3399

<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> @harbin1 without logs/output noone will be able to help troubleshoot. If you can upload some messages from /var/log related to wifi when its trying to reconnect that would help
