<Dr4w> Hi, may I ask for help regarding a recent install over a TVBOX that has rk3318. Basically I managed to get everything working except for the fact that the eMMC disk is not recognized as the correct size (14.7GB instead of 64). I tried sudo /etc/init.d/resize2fs start but nothing changed. Could anyone help me out? I will gladly hand over any needed info. Thanks.

<serkanp> Did you try with fdisk?
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> First find the start sector of partition ex:532555
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> D delete partition, select partition number
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> N new
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Same partition number
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> P primary
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Start sector 532555
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> End sector leave blank
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Remove Linux type, yes
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> W write
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Q quit
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Then use resize2fs
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> I think it will work then
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> I'm starting to think fake specs actually
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> RAM is showing 1GB
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> It should be 4
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> That is because of your selected dtb file, try different one
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> sorry, I don't get what you mean?
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> I used /proc/meminfo
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> And was showing 1GB total
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Dtb files are like pc bios, but they are files in your root folder, inside amlogic folder
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Uenv.txt there is a definition which dtb file will be used on boot.
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Dtb files are device tree files and have information about your hardware.
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> So when device boots with dtb, kernel asks for existing device to system and all information will be replied from dtb file.
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> So kernel will load drivers depend on that information
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> If the dtb you use have information as 1gb ram, you will see only 1 gb.
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> So choose another dtb
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> amlogic folder?
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> There's an amlogic folder on rk device?
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> If you boot from USB or sdcard or emmc , you will see 2 partitions
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> 1 boot part
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> 2 os
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> In boot partition, you will see amlogic folder and inside it there are dtb files
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> /boot/dtb/amlogic I guess, I am not near a pc now
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> It's 02:30 am here sorry 😦
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> Okok, but I'm using a rockchip device, why should there be an amlogic folder?
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> But pm me, tomorrow I will give you better information
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Ah then /boot/dtb/rockchip/
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> I though you have amlogic sorry
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> Ok, I will check tomorrow for that folder than
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> Will let you know
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> thanks
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> I hope tomorrow I will msg you, we had a very huge earthquake here..
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> ah shit, where are you from?
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> Turkey
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> oh fuck, I heard about it, are you ok?
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> We are OK, but for now 17.500 people died
<Armbian-Discord>
<serkanp> We think it will be 100k in next 1 week
<Armbian-Discord>
<Dr4w> I noticed it was very bad from the news
