<fireflyjar> I am a bit confused with IgorPec harsh response earlier to Zortos. what is not supported, the hardware? I got armbian to work on a TV box, may not be listed on site but it did work. I have the H96 Pro+ TV box.
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> nothing from this segment is supported. Not hardware and not software. Tvbox hardware is community supported if it comes from our community builds https://github.com/armbian/community -> https://forum.armbian.com/forum/24-tv-boxes Software is some 3rd party Armbian fork, so they are responsible for resolving bugs.

<fireflyjar> I get that, I thought this is a community chat discord, and you attacked a guy for asking, are you saying we can't discuss unsuported stuff here?

<igorpec> try to get support for Ubuntu on Debian forums
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> tl;dr; he found some image on the internet and has some troubles with
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> don't you think this is not the problem of this place?
<DC-IRC>
<fireflyjar> yes, but your attitude is just wrong, all you you had to say is sorry can't help go to where you got the image from. or better yet, redirect them to use offical Armbian image. sorry I'm wasting your time , I better go now.
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> unfriendly attitude saves time. I know its wrong

<rpardini> phew
<DC-IRC>
<Tonymac32> Jesus
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> what?
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> All things considered that was pretty mild.
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> we need to come up with a better UX / guidance, perhaps member only for this section
<DC-IRC>
<rpardini> yeah but it piles up....
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> I was referring to @igorpec initial response. 🙂 Not the endless onslaught of tvbox questions.
<DC-IRC>
<rpardini> yeah me too
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> The tvbox shit gets pretty old.
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> oh... ok. Yeah... well... Just making sure we were on the same page.
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> I can agree. It gets old.
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> I can agree. It gets old or piles up.
<DC-IRC>
<lanefu> "fuck off" is the official Armbian slogan for unofficial devices
<DC-IRC>
<lanefu> Or it should be I suppose
<DC-IRC>
<infinity_q> I've learned just to not ask questions here
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> then start answering. Give back what you already took from here? Nobody will say anything against.
<DC-IRC>
<lanefu> The problem is the broader SBC community including some devs centralizes here.. even if they're not primarily Armbian devs or users.
<DC-IRC>
<lanefu> I guess they should centralize elsewhere
<DC-IRC>
<infinity_q> How can I take what you did not give? how does that work?
<DC-IRC>
<infinity_q> I would love to help. but you, Igor, are the primary reason I do not.
<DC-IRC>
<infinity_q> I would love to help. but you, Igor, are the primary reason why I do not.
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> sure. you will always find a reason not to. That is easy.
<DC-IRC>
<infinity_q> maybe don't give me one 😉
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> there are several devs and users of other systems here. Since the day one. And also there is a written and unwritten policy that we don't mess up with 3rd party OS support and related problems. We have too many of our own that anyway fixes theirs ... Most of those debacles are off-topic, not related to the name of the channel. Which is what we have to change as its confusing. A p <clipped message>
<DC-IRC>
<igorpec> erson that see "Amlogic" on his TVBOX and found some 3 years old semi working Armbian image ... should not be opening support questions here.
