<narmstrong> This -22 ahci probe error is weird, it would to be debugged. This pcie controller works fine with NVMe, wifi cards, usb controllers and sata on the odroid hc4
<DC-IRC>
<narmstrong> But perhaps the power is too weak on the cm4io? On the hc4 there’s a brick 15v brick to power the sata drives

<vitekst> I can try powering the board by providing voltage to the GPIO header and increase it slightly over 5 V. But it doesn’t explain the fact that my unchanged hardware setup works with the stock Debian image.

<vitekst> Would getting a log from a kernel with CONFIG_PCI_DEBUG enabled help you/anyone else?

<tenkawa42> There seems to be a patch out in the wild causing this
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Noone has fixed it yet in all the links I have found.. they have just reverted the patch
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> All have been for 6.1 kernels with similar setup
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> I looked into that a whiles ago. I think it may be a power issue, but I can't say for sure. I'm currently using a 5.25V 3.5A PSU on mine. I was thinking about upping the Amps to 4. I thought I read somewhere that someone pushed even more V's and A's, but now I can't find the link.
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> I've also never tested the vendor imgs, so yeah it could very well be a kernel thing.
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> @c0rnelius77 the 3 links I found this morning were 6.1 and meson kernel specific to that exact problem
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> The same patch was problematic
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> if that patch is pulled it should work fine
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> Yeap and I have read those
<DC-IRC>
<c0rnelius77> and if I remember correctly that patch was something they added, it's not in mainline.
<DC-IRC>
<tenkawa42> Yes but likely armbian did

<vitekst> Ten klient se zase kousl.
<DC-IRC>
<rpardini> No, we never had any of that in.

<tenkawa42> No Amlogic 6.1 pci/pci-e patches at all?
