Their color depend on the color of a tiny spot at the left down pixel, and when you place the mouse on that left down area, the color in the 20 raster lines change. Also the same amount of raster lines are missing below.

Distro maintainers seem to copy the overlays from somewhere without thinking anything, that other people might require other or more overlays. Yes, developer "tobetter" fixed a very specific overlay in kernel 5.10.x, which soon disappeared everywhere on every other distro.
