<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> FYI, if anyone get an MangoPi with the Allwinner H616, it's running OrangeOS Debian for the OrangePi Zero, so I assume that means Armbian if there an image for the Orange Pi Zero
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> Do you mean Orange Pi Zero 2? Cause Orange Pi Zero is H2+/H3
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Yes
<DC-IRC> <terrorpup> Their base image, will try to play with Armbian on it later, been recording and decommissioning a NAS and trying to rebuild another one. A long day in my home lab.

<DC-IRC> <zwillx> A lot of people working on this XD
<DC-IRC> <zwillx> Me too haha. I got my 6.6 build for OPi zero2W started also. Which kernel version are you using there?
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> i want to make a older RPI3 3.5" SPI display work on it, i think it should be posible on armbian
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> i want to make a older waveshare RPI3 3.5" SPI display work on it, i think it should be posible on armbian
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> i want to test Zero3 as VPN routers / wifi AP at some point too
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> i want to test Zero3 as WG VPN routers / wifi AP at some point too
<DC-IRC> <zwillx> re: SBC chips, those Allwinner 12nm are following the bigger trend, don't think they will make it to a Pi Zero clone. Looks like they have NPUs etc, won't be cheap. I want something like this, except with Amlogic s928x for lower power use https://www.cnx-software.com/2023/02/28/amlogic-s928x-specifications-a-penta-core-arm-cortex-a76-a55-soc-with-mali-g57-gpu-3-2-tops-npu/
<DC-IRC> <zwillx> ps - ignore the price , that's a total lie XS
<DC-IRC> <zwillx> for sure, I've seen the DTB overlays for the MIPI or whatever that 26 pin screen is called
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> thats not a display connector
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> the one im talking about connects to the 40 pin gpio
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> and the relevant pins are all in the same position as in a RPI
<DC-IRC> <zwillx> oh I see, sure. There's a guy who does it and shares some good info
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> I saw other people running similar SPI screens on earlier hardware like a Zero 2 but using the older kernels that still had the fbtft_device module that got remove in 5.4
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> And this one worked on a RPI with the waveshare script that is intended only for RPIs
<DC-IRC> <shivansps> I have no idea of how to try to use it on kernels that dosent have the fbtft_device. I heard that armbian has a collection of overlays to use it, so first i must get a working armbian image.
