DC-IRC has joined #armbian-allwinner
<DC-IRC> <juanesf91> Allwinner H3 has sun6i-csi driver and the problem occurs with sun4i-csi
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> could you atleast share the output of above command
<DC-IRC> <juanesf91> I moved over the weekend, during these days I'm going to run tests again and get the entire log in text to share
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> Could you please share the dtoverlay you are using for the camera as well?
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> I also found http://bluexmas.tistory.com/695. I don't have a R40 or V40 myself so can't say if this works for sure. Also you might have more luck in the forums. So do try posting in forums.armbian.com
<DC-IRC> <juanesf91> In kernel 3.10 it works without problems
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> Sorry can't really help much without the device. But you can try using upstream kernel or even debian kernel to see if it works there. If it works on upstream kernel then it should also work on Armbian and potentially some patch that we apply might be causing the issue. In case you want to try building an image with upstream kernel, you can replace series.conf file with an empty <clipped message>
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> file. The series.conf file is present in patch/kernel/archive/sunxi-6.1 for current kernel or patch/kernel/archive/sunxi-6.5 for edge kernel

<DC-IRC> <viraniac> BTW which kernel have you tried to use this on? Was that 6.1 or 6.5?
<DC-IRC> <juanesf91> first try edge, then current
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> Its possible that this whole patch series is missing https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/linux-media/cover/20191215165924.28314-1-wens@kernel.org/
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> I can see its not merged upstream either
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> There is also a new version of one of the patch available here - https://patchwork.kernel.org/project/linux-media/patch/20200103064533.14864-1-wens@kernel.org/
<DC-IRC> <shivasiddharth> hi
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> you can try downloading these patches and put them in patch/kernel/archive/sunxi-6.5/patches.armbian
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> and then add it to series.conf file
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> they should then get applied automatically when building the kernel using ./compile.sh BOARD=<board> BRANCH=edge
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> if it works feel free to raise a PR
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> hi, still struggling with nextcloud?

<DC-IRC> <viraniac> You know it takes about two hours for nextcloudpi script to finish installing nextcloud on Allwinner h3 based board
<DC-IRC> <viraniac> I tried it myself yesterday. Seems to install fine with 3 small fixes
