<peterm6881> upgrading to 22.04.1 Jammy Jellyfish, yeah dont ask
<Xogium> huh, so its out now ?
<peterm6881> the .1 is the lts release, im not sure when it came out, but yeah its available now
<Xogium> well 22.04 is lts
<Xogium> the .1 is probably a minor fix like buildroot does
<peterm6881> no not quite,
<Xogium> huh... Okay. Ubuntu is weird
<peterm6881> they dont make it detectable automatically until its 04.1
<Xogium> ah yes
<Xogium> a progressive rollout in case shit breaks
<peterm6881> last time i tried it said no upgrade was available, even though i knew 22.04 was out for some weeks, maybe a couple of months
<peterm6881> yeah
<peterm6881> how are you Xogium ?
<peterm6881> u ok?
<Xogium> yeah it slowly propagates the update in case people report issues, they have time to stop the update
<Xogium> yeah I'm just very very hot, we finally got some rain last night
<Xogium> no rain for the last 40 days or so
<peterm6881> yes it rained here too overnight. It was scorching yesterday, van gauge got up to 38
<Xogium> for us it was like that for 40 days straight. Temperature would climb up to 35 ~40 every day, and not go below 22 or so at night
<peterm6881> well if you run out of water, we have 2 huge freshwater lakes here ;)
<Xogium> for 40 days
<peterm6881> its bad like. but i take a relaxed view on these things
<Xogium> well, there's not much we can do about it
<peterm6881> as with all things beyond my control'
<Xogium> we also kept having lightning shows but no rain. Sometimes not even noise of thunder, just lightning
<peterm6881> any plans for to.....ah i withdraw the question
<Xogium> Simon counted like 8 lightning strikes a minute
<peterm6881> are you in the penthouse suite?
<Xogium> hehe we're in, if that's what you ask
<Xogium> but dry lightning isn't exactly my favorite thing
<peterm6881> pent up in the penthouse
<peterm6881> weird name, a penthouse isnt ever even a house, its by definition an apartment
<Xogium> I know right
<peterm6881> hehe as long as you dont get hit by it, although knowing you your body would fight back ;)
<peterm6881> take THAT lighning , meh
<peterm6881> lightning
<Xogium> I'd rather not know what it feels like to be hit by it though hehe
<peterm6881> wants me to disable my screensaver, bye bye fish tank
<Xogium> awwww
<Xogium> I'm sure you can put it back after
<peterm6881> actually they were sharks
<Xogium> sharks are like fish but not
<Xogium> :p
<Xogium> I touched one once
<Xogium> innofensive shark mind you
<peterm6881> i had to google it, they are technically classed as fish
<peterm6881> did it bite anyway, in an inoffensive way
<Xogium> their skin is very weird
<peterm6881> like grandma without her dentures
<peterm6881> in what way?
<Xogium> yeah, it thought I brought it food, so it kept opening and closing its mouth in 'where's the food' mode
<peterm6881> like a cats tongue, like sandpaper?
<Xogium> yep sandpaper but even more rough
<peterm6881> lol not many people can say they disappointed a shark at mealtime
<peterm6881> a useful pet to have around the house, for those unexpected sanding jobs
<peterm6881> life hack
<Xogium> I also touched a skate fish
<peterm6881> sk8r fish
<peterm6881> what did tts make of that ;)
<Xogium> it liked being touched actually. First time I saw that, a fish actually not minding human fingers touching it
<Xogium> one side of it is smooth and the other side is rough, like a lizard
<peterm6881> maybe it had a 6th sense you werent hungry, as usual
<peterm6881> was this the same visit, to an aquarium I'll wager :)
<Xogium> when I took hy hand out of the water it actually came up to look for where it went off to and ask for more
<peterm6881> like a puppy, how cute
<Xogium> yep aquarium
<peterm6881> can you swim?
<Xogium> we also went in the water with a true submarine. We had a sonar and everything. We went in the abyssal area, about 10 meters under
<peterm6881> Sharks are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha and are the sister group to the rays.
<peterm6881> I'd like to go to Abyssinia
<Xogium> it was big enough to make us have a ride inside the aquarium
<peterm6881> sorry that was random, even by my standards
<Xogium> lol
<peterm6881> sounds like some fabulous positive memories Xogium
<peterm6881> thats a badass aquarium, where is that?
<Xogium> saint-malo
<peterm6881> thats where you catch the ferry to Jersey
<peterm6881> I wonder what Saint Malo did to get made a saint, beatified
<peterm6881> first fish farm maybe
<peterm6881> pay no heed, im in a funny mood. I was out till 2am on call
<peterm6881> ok it just asked me to disable my screensaver again, sigh...
